I. Core Materials and Basic Specifications
Steel wire material: High-quality high-carbon steel (carbon content 0.7%–0.9%), such as 60, 65, 70, 80 steel, processed through cold drawing and heat treatment, with high strength and good toughness. Surface treatment: Smooth (oiled for rust prevention), galvanized (for marine / corrosive environments), galvanized + oil coating. Strength level: Commonly used 1770MPa, 1960MPa. For heavy loads / high safety factor, 1960MPa is selected. Core wire: Fiber core (FC/NFC): Flexible, shock-absorbing, oil storage, suitable for regular light to medium loads, frequent bending. Steel core (IWR/IWS): High strength, anti-compression, heat resistance, suitable for heavy loads, multi-layer winding, high temperature. II. Main Structures (according to contact / rotation characteristics) 1. Linear contact steel wire rope (preferred for cranes) Inner and outer layers of steel wire in contact, low stress, wear-resistant, long service life, recommended by the "Crane Design Specifications". 6×19S (Xilu type / outer thick type): Outer layer of thick wire, wear-resistant, suitable for tower cranes, crawler cranes, guy ropes. 6×19W (Walinshun type / thick and thin type): Combination of thick and thin wires, flexible + wear-resistant, universal lifting rope. 6×36WS (Xilu - Walinshun composite): Strong comprehensive performance, main force for factory / equipment lifting. 6×25Fi/29Fi (filled type): High density, anti-compression, suitable for multi-layer winding. 2. Anti-rotation (non-rotating) steel wire rope (for high-demanding conditions) Multiple strands, opposite inner and outer twisting directions, no torsion when lifting heavy loads, suitable for high lift height, single rope without guide, precision lifting. 35W×7/35W×K7: 35 strands of Walinshun structure, anti-rotation, wear-resistant, anti-compression, preferred for tower cranes / truck cranes for main lifting. 18×7/18×K7: 18 strands, semi-anti-rotation, high cost performance, suitable for medium-tonnage general use. 4V×39S: Four strands of fan shape, wear-resistant, anti-side pressure, suitable for large span, high wear. 3. Point contact (ordinary type, auxiliary use) Equal-diameter steel wire, point contact, prone to wear, short lifespan, only used for binding ropes, auxiliary ropes. Typical: 6×37 + FC, flexible, suitable for small pulleys, light loads with frequent bending. |
